According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence in San Jose.
Smith was determined to be the driver in a single-vehicle accident off Bentley Drive at approximately 7 a.m., San Jose Police Sgt. Heather Randol said.
“At some point, they did a breath sample and it was over the limit,” Randol said.
“He was not injured, and it does not appear as if anybody else was in the vehicle with him. And there were no other involved vehicles or reported injuries.”
Smith was booked into Santa Clara County jail, Randol said.
The 49ers did not immediately comment on the incident.
It’s truly alarming all of the off the field issues that Smith has been involved in during his NFL .
