49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh told 95.7 The Game that linebacker Aldon Smith visited the team facility on Wednesday.
“Aldon was in the building,” Harbaugh said via Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com. “It was great to see the reaction of others who saw him and Aldon’s reaction of being back here with some of the guys. He looks great, and we’re having a great day.”
Harbaugh couldn’t say when Smith would be back on the field.
“I think the prudent thing to do is look at it day-to-day and have a goal of having a great day,” Harbaugh said. “He’s been taking that approach, really over the last five weeks. And it’s served him well and he’s quite a bit of progress.”
Smith was recently released from rehab and then turned himself into authorities to face the three felony weapons charges that he’s facing right now.
