ProFootballTalk.com reported yesterday that the 49ers still don’t know if they’re going to pick up Aldon Smith’s fifth-year option.
According to ESPN’s Bill Williamson, the Niners have to let the NFL know what they’re going to do by Friday night.
Per NFL, #49ers must inform league, in writing, if they are using 2015 option on Aldon Smith by 9 p.m. PT Friday.
