According to Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com, the police have told them that they currently don’t have any suspects in the reported stabbing of San Francisco 49ers defensive end Aldon Smith.
Santa Clara County Sheriff Sergeant Jose Cardoza stated that deputies responded to a 911 call on Saturday morning and when they arrived at the scene two people were shot and one was stabbed. They wouldn’t confirm that Smith was stabbed, but the 49ers did acknowledge that he suffered minor wounds. The good news is that no one suffered life threatening injuries.
“There was a lot of confusion. People heard gunshots, people heard commotion, but nobody saw where it came from. Nobody saw anyone stab anyone,” Cardoza said. “We don’t know if it was one person responsible or more than one person responsible for the three victim injuries.”
